The Church of God in Ohio Youth and Discipleship Department facilitates ministries and programs that span the 52 weeks of the year as we seek to BUILD OHIO’S FUTURE with this next generation of world changers. The Youth and Discipleship Board plays a vital role in fulfilling this mission. The Youth and Discipleship Board is a working board that exemplifies laboring for the Kingdom under the direct oversight of the State Youth and Discipleship Director. Members who serve on the Youth and Discipleship Board are committing to assisting the State Youth and Discipleship Director in coordinating and serving the 52- week calendar planned each year for the Youth and Discipleship Department, which includes working a minimum of 2 weeks during the summer camp season. In addition, Youth and Discipleship Board members commit to attend and serve at state events, and when called upon by the State Youth Director.
The Youth and Discipleship Department seeks to assist the local churches in connecting children and youth with God and the body of Christ. If you feel a call to serve on the Youth and Discipleship Board, understanding the commitment it will take to fulfill the duties of a Youth and Discipleship Board member, and meet all qualifications to serve according to the Church of God Minutes, which state; “every minister who holds either rank of Ordained Minister or Ordained Bishop, are current with their state reports and are in good standing with the Ohio Church of God State Office are eligible for selection to the Youth Board.” (Church of God Minutes S25-State Youth and Discipleship Board), please sign this form and submit it to the Church of God State Office no later than September 2, 2026.
