What is Encounter?
Ohio Church of God invites all young adults (single or married) to Encounter. A retreat experience designed to impact this generation and help bring you to a place of true encounter with God through amazing worship & powerful messages.
Speakers for encounter 2021!
Joel Talley has been in full time evangelism for over 30 years, preaching his first revival at 13 years old. God has honored him with the privilege of speaking in 44 states and in a foreign country.
He has ministered in many churches, camp meetings, citywide crusades, numerous youth camps and events, national evangelism conferences and many creative avenues for ministry all over the nation. And this year he will be preaching during our evening session at encounter 2021!
Javaris Wright was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida. He came to know Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of eight. At a young age, God gave him a passion for music. He studied his undergrad program at Lee University and is now pursuing his Master’s Degree in Theology at Liberty University. Javaris is a credentialed minister with the Church of God, Cleveland, TN. He has had the honor to teach, preach, and sing at various churches, conferences, youth camps, camp meetings, and conventions around the United States and abroad. In 2017, after 14 years of music ministry, he transitioned to being a Lead Pastor. In 2013, Javaris married his best friend, April. Together they currently serve as Lead Pastors at The Harvest Church in Nicholls, Georgia.
